Andy Wynn
CEO
Andy is a highly experienced, successful, and visionary business leader, with a distinguished career in the advanced materials business. Andy has held various leadership positions where he has consistently demonstrated vision, strategic acumen, and a passion for driving innovation. He was CTO at a FTSE 250 multinational manufacturer of advanced materials and industrial products, with a 30-year track record of successfully driving and delivering business growth through introducing new technologies and innovation.
GERARD CADAFALCH
CTO
Gerard is originally from Catalonia, Spain. He studied chemical engineering at the University of Barcelona. Moreover, he had several jobs in chemical labs and was an active board member in different associations. He moved to the Netherlands in 2011, to pursue a PhD in fabrication of nanomaterials at MESA + (University of Twente). During his PhD he invented the flexible ceramic material that resulted in the foundation of Flexiramics.
BAS KERKWIJK
COO
Bas holds a PhD in structural ceramics and his curiosity for “flexible ceramics” drove him towards Flexiramics. For the last 15 years he worked in various roles in manufacturing engineering, project and commercial management and business development. Currently he is responsible for the project management of operations, scale up and supporting the management team.
MARCO BARSACCHI
CCO
Marco is originally from Italy. Marco holds a PhD in Natural Sciences and an MBA. He has been a New Business and New Product developer for the past 25 years in many B2B material markets. He sees the potential unique benefits of Flexiramics to several applications and markets. He is responsible for Flexiramics New Business Development and Strategy development.
RUTA STANKEVICIUTE
Senior Researcher / Chemist
Ruta is originally from Vilnius, Lithuania. She studied the chemistry of nanomaterials at the Vilnius University and holds a Master degree with Magna Cum Laude in Chemistry. During her studies, she managed to gain work experience at the Centre of Plasma and Laser Engineering in Poland, and at the MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology in the Netherlands. Currently she is responsible for the production, quality control and quality assurance of samples within Flexiramics.
MARCEL TEN HOVE
Senior R&D Engineer
Marcel was born in the Netherlands. He studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Twente. After graduation he started a PhD position in Inorganic Membranes at the University of Twente. Currently he is responsible for production scale-up and for research of new materials at Flexiramics.’
TANJA WORTEL
Head of corporate and legal affairs
Tanja studied Law at TIO university of applied science. She has many years of experience working in the investment business and has a proven track record in legal support. She is responsible for the corporate governance, due decision making and accountability of the Board. In her role as Head of Corporate & Legal Affairs she will focus on managing and improving current and future business performance now that Flexiramics is in the next phase of growth.
HENDRIK DIJKSLAG
Senior R&D TECHNICIAN
Hendrik holds a degree in chemistry and has been working in different product manufacturing industries.
He has broad experience in formulation- and processoptimization and in Research & Development.
A unique product and a small group of diverse and enthusiastic people has sparked his interest and enthusiasm for Flexiramics.
ROGIER BESSELINK
R&D Researcher / Materials Engineer
Rogier holds a PhD in Materials Science and has extensive background in sol-gel chemistry and mineral crystallization. He brings in experience as an independent researcher having worked internationally in a variety of European countries. He will play a key role in developing Flexiramics’ key IP to the next level together with developing new IP to support further growth opportunities.
BRUNO PIZONE
R&D Materials Scientist / Engineer
Originally from Brazil, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Joint European Master in Material’s Science. Research brought him to France, The Netherlands and Sweden, where he gained working experience in developing and investigating composite materials for different engineering applications. He is heavily involved in developing Flexiramics for composites that will be applied in e.g. electronics.
THIJMEN BOS
Laboratory technician
Thijmen is originally from the Netherlands and holds a degree in Chemistry. After finalizing his thesis assignment at Flexiramics he joined our team and started his function as laboratory technician. Thijmen will be involved in a variety projects that will benefit from his strength in process engineering, his practical approach in problem solving whilst also having time to learn on the job.
IVANA IVANOVIC
Product Development Manager
Ivana holds a degree in pharmaceutical chemistry and has an extensive experience in customer and product development. Ivana brings a wealth of understanding of customer and business processes that will serve our clients well – but it’s her friendly, energetic personality that makes her a great addition to our team!
René Roelofs
Projectmanager Scale up
René holds a degree in physics and has been working for over 30 years in the Research and Development and is an experienced project manager for product development and the use of new materials. Besides his technical background, he studied business administration and as a well-rounded professional René combines both perspectives into the projects.
In his role of Project Manager Scale Up he will be mainly dealing with the design of the required equipment and facilities for supporting Flexiramics growth.
JORDY WINTERS
Lab Technician
Jordy holds a degree in Chemistry and has hands-on industrial working experience most recently as a Production Engineer. He now functions as our laboratory technician and has a key role in supporting our ongoing research efforts for both IP development and client projects in the broadest practical sense.
