What it is
Novel characteristics of being pure ceramic and flexible
technology
The process of making Flexiramics® products consists of 4 main steps:
1.
CHEMISTRY
We start with a wet chemical solution. This step is crucial as it defines most of the properties of the final material.
2.
SPINNING/ SPRAYING
We shape the wet chemical solution into fibers or particles which are not yet ceramic.
3.
CALCINING
We apply a high temperature treatment to the green fibers or particles. During this treatment we turn the fibers or particles into a ceramic material.
4.
POST-TREATMENT
Flexiramics® products are treated with other materials to modify specific properties.
